Care
Do gold and silver finishes tarnish?
Most of our necklaces are made of stainless steel. This metal won't tarnish on your skin and won't leave a green mark, unlike the alloys commonly used in costume jewellery. The finish stays stable with everyday wear, as long as you keep it away from chlorine and fragranced products. The material of each piece is given in its details.
How do I care for it?
Take it off before the shower, the pool and sport. Put your perfume on before your necklace, never after: alcohol damages the finish and dulls pearls. Store it somewhere dry in its gift box, away from your other jewellery so they don't rub. A soft, dry cloth is all it takes to bring back its shine.
The ball chain is made of small aligned beads: each one returns its own glint, so the chain shows more than a flat link would. The heart pendant finds a setting full of texture there. That contrast between round beads and the smooth heart gives the necklace its slightly retro feel, very easy to wear.
The gold heart necklace gives the beads a soft, warm light; the silver heart necklace makes them sparkle more brightly, a match for denim and grey. Thanks to the extender, the heart rises to the base of the neck or drops towards the collarbone. It also layers beautifully with a finer chain.

Our chains measure between 39 and 48 centimetres, with a 5 to 7 cm extender. A length of 40 to 45 cm falls just below the collarbone and suits most necklines: that's the one to choose if you're unsure. Under 38 cm, the necklace sits at the base of the neck. Over 48, it falls onto the chest and can be worn over an open shirt, or doubled in two loops. The exact length of each piece is given in its details.
Choose the one you already wear, not the one that shines the most. Silver blends with greys, blues and black; gold warms up beiges, off-whites and warm colours. If you wear a watch or a ring every day, match the necklace to it: it's the simplest guide, and the safest.
