Maison Fermoir is the trading name of Vande Wiele Michael, a sole trader registered in Belgium, Rue Neuve 93, 6280 Gerpinnes, Belgium. Email: contact@maisonfermoir.com. Phone: +32 488 83 19 04.
These terms apply to orders placed on maisonfermoir.com for delivery to the United Kingdom. Please read them before you order. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
We sell fashion jewellery, mainly necklaces. The characteristics of each piece, its material and its finish are shown on its product page, under Characteristics.
Our pieces are not hallmarked precious metal. Where we say "gold" or "silver", we describe the colour of the finish (gold-tone, silver-tone, gold-plated), never solid gold or sterling silver.
Our photographs show each piece as faithfully as we can, but a colour may look slightly different from one screen to another.
A piece shown as out of stock cannot be ordered. If a piece becomes unavailable after you have ordered, we will tell you and refund you for that piece.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include UK VAT for orders whose goods are worth £135 or less. Delivery costs are shown before you pay and repeated in the order summary.
Orders over £135. If the goods in one order are worth more than £135 (excluding delivery), UK rules treat the parcel as an import: UK VAT is not charged at our checkout, and import VAT, customs duty and the carrier's handling fee are payable by you on delivery, collected by the carrier.
Discounts. 10% off when you buy 2 necklaces and 20% off when you buy 3 or more, applied automatically at checkout. Only one product discount applies per order: if a discount code and an automatic discount could both apply, the checkout keeps the more favourable one.
We may change our prices at any time; the price you pay is the one shown when you place your order.
Before you pay, the order summary shows the pieces you have chosen, their price, the delivery cost and the total: you can correct your basket and your address at that stage. By clicking the payment button you place an order with an obligation to pay. You then receive an email confirming your order: this email is our acceptance, and the contract is formed when you receive it.
The contract is concluded in English. We keep a record of every order: the confirmation email keeps a copy of it, and you can find it in your customer account if you have one. If you ask us at contact@maisonfermoir.com, we will send you a copy.
We may refuse an order that is clearly abnormal, or an order from a customer with whom a dispute is ongoing.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro cards, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Klarna. The methods actually offered are shown at checkout.
Apple Pay only appears on Apple devices, and Google Pay only on browsers that support it: the methods offered depend on your device.
Payment is processed by Shopify Payments. Your card details never pass through us and are not stored anywhere on the shop.
Your payment is taken when you place your order.
If Klarna is offered at checkout, the options available, their conditions and any charges depend on Klarna and are shown to you by Klarna before you confirm.
If you choose Klarna, you enter into an agreement with Klarna for the payment, and with us for the sale. If you return an item, your refund is paid back through Klarna, within the same time limits as in our refund policy.
Klarna alone decides whether to accept a payment. A refusal says nothing about your order: the other payment methods remain available.
Delivery costs and times are set out in our shipping policy, which forms part of these terms.
In short: delivery to the United Kingdom by FedEx from our warehouse in the European Union; £4.95, free from £65 (after discounts); we prepare your order within 1 working day, then allow 3 to 7 working days for delivery.
If we have not agreed a different date, we will deliver within 30 days of your order. The pieces remain at our risk until you, or someone you have named, take physical possession of them.
You can cancel your order without giving any reason, from the moment you place it until 14 days after the day you receive it. If your order arrives in several parcels, the 14 days run from the day you receive the last one.
To cancel, simply tell us clearly, by email to contact@maisonfermoir.com. You can also use the model cancellation form in our returns conditions, but you do not have to.
How to send the piece back, the condition it should be in, who pays for the return and the exceptions are set out in our returns conditions; when and how much we refund, in our refund policy.
As a consumer you have legal rights if a piece is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose (Consumer Rights Act 2015). These rights apply to every purchase, without any extra cost, and nothing in these terms limits them.
How to use them is described in our returns conditions.
How we use your data is described in our privacy policy.
Please write to us first at contact@maisonfermoir.com. We will reply within two working days and look for a solution.
If we cannot find a solution together, you can get free, independent advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service (citizensadvice.org.uk, 0808 223 1133).
These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you live in the United Kingdom, this choice does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of the part of the UK where you live. You can bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one online when you place it.
