Care
Do gold and silver finishes tarnish?
Most of our necklaces are made of stainless steel. This metal won't tarnish on your skin and won't leave a green mark, unlike the alloys commonly used in costume jewellery. The finish stays stable with everyday wear, as long as you keep it away from chlorine and fragranced products. The material of each piece is given in its details.
How do I care for it?
Take it off before the shower, the pool and sport. Put your perfume on before your necklace, never after: alcohol damages the finish and dulls pearls. Store it somewhere dry in its gift box, away from your other jewellery so they don't rub. A soft, dry cloth is all it takes to bring back its shine.
The whole necklace is built on contrast: the gold shine of the hammered heart and discs, and the deep brown of the tortoiseshell drops. The charms alternate on either side of the heart, which remains the largest motif, so the eye goes straight to the centre. This mix of gold and tortoiseshell suits a floral print as well as a plain outfit, weekdays and weekends alike.
The tortoiseshell drops are acrylic; the chunky chain, the heart and the discs are gold-coloured metal. Pulled in, the necklace stops above a crew neck; let out on its extender, it drops into a V-neck. Worn alone, it fills the neckline: this charm necklace needs no other strand.

Our chains measure between 39 and 48 centimetres, with a 5 to 7 cm extender. A length of 40 to 45 cm falls just below the collarbone and suits most necklines: that's the one to choose if you're unsure. Under 38 cm, the necklace sits at the base of the neck. Over 48, it falls onto the chest and can be worn over an open shirt, or doubled in two loops. The exact length of each piece is given in its details.
Choose the one you already wear, not the one that shines the most. Silver blends with greys, blues and black; gold warms up beiges, off-whites and warm colours. If you wear a watch or a ring every day, match the necklace to it: it's the simplest guide, and the safest.
